TORREY YUCCA (Yucca torreyi)
The torrey yucca is a characteristic Chihuahuan Desert species, though closley related to other "Spanish daggers" such as the banana yucca. The evergreen leaves are yellow-green in colour, long and broad, with a sharp tip. The dead leaves hang down as a skirt around the stem. |
